SET UP WEBSITE EMAIL SENDING (CONTACT FORMS/WOOCOMMERCE) USING SMTP2GO
Category: WordPress & Websites

Overview
WordPress email sending is often unreliable if you use default server mail functions. For stable delivery and better inbox placement, send via SMTP2GO.

What you need
- SMTP2GO credentials and SMTP server hostname
- A from-address on your domain (example: no-reply@yourdomain.com)
- Correct DNS authentication (SPF/DKIM/DMARC)

Setup steps (general)
1) Install a reputable SMTP plugin in WordPress.
2) Enter SMTP2GO details:
   - Host: SMTP2GO server hostname
   - Port: 587 (STARTTLS) or 465 (SSL)
   - Authentication: enabled
   - Username/password: SMTP2GO credentials
3) Set From Email to your domain address (aligned with your domain).
4) Send a test email.

WooCommerce notes
- Test “New Order” and “Completed Order” emails.
- Do not cache checkout pages.
- Ensure email templates use the correct From Name/Email.

Troubleshooting
- Auth failed: wrong SMTP2GO credentials or wrong port/encryption
- Emails go to spam: SPF/DKIM/DMARC missing or incorrect
- No delivery: check spam folder, confirm plugin test results, confirm sending domain is authenticated

Validation
Send to Gmail and check “Show original” for SPF/DKIM PASS.
